Probably my two biggest record store celebrity sightings at Rhino Records in Westwood, LA, were Henry Rollins - not surprising, no memory of what he had selected for purchase, and Joey Ramone, who was browsing the jazz section...
The Ramones were also involved in the two biggest punk rock copper "riots" I experienced. One was two years after this infamous riot

and I am pretty sure it was the same venue. I never went through a Ramones phase, until my 30s or whatever when I finally tried to properly play guitar, and went because the gf wanted to go. It wasn't much of a memorable riot, bottles thrown, cops with batons and on horses, but we got out of there quickly. Second time was at a Los Angeles Street Fest, also 1986, with a bunch of stages and various acts: UB40 in front of city hall! A tiny stage hosted Janes Addiction, SWA, Agent Orange, Faith No More...Apparently the schedule had misprinted that the Ramones were going to play at 8 pm, so all the punkers etc. gathered near one of the larger stages and just kept hanging out/partying even though it was obvious no band was going to appear. At some point there was suddenly a mass of cops swinging batons, some on horses, that started to clear the area. I remember trying to get away as quick as possible but saw a few people clipped in the leg by a baton 5-10 meters away...

Already posted elsewhere, but a Johnny Ramone moment got me thinking. If this place is going to have more members, then it would be best for all images made here to advertise this place as well the original purpose of the image. Love it or hate it that's how sad the world has become. So, just like more people own Ramones T-shirts than ever bought their singles or albums I decided to put the URL on all future fucking images I post here. Should any idiot ever use them elsewhere, then another poor, unsuspecting well-intentioned person will travel here to the source of the idiocy and find out that there is no story, no history, just pure madness and laughs. We might even gain two contributing members over the next decade!

It is awful. I hate it. How could anybody like it?! 
Put off doing something like this as long as possible.
Still, I have met some very good people in the medical professions.
I hope that everybody is trying to stay safe. 
Hip replacements freak me out. Too many people have problems with them. I often wonder why that is, but started reading about it after a friend's mother had some serious problems with one only to find out that there are so many reasons that it might be better to put off having hip replacement for a long while. Some folks sail on through. An old friend's brother is an orthopedic surgeon. I could ask him one of these days. I probably would not like the answers. They might make me feel quite uneasy.
