Yes, basketball "court" is the common gloss. It was a minor sport in the 1970's in the USA. The league was struggling to get a television contract back then. A lot changed when Magic Johnson and Larry Bird came into the league. Sales and marketing, I suppose, are crazy important in the USA. Baseball used to be a huge spectator sport. Now American football is the most watched team sport. I will check that to make sure. One never knows in the weird marketplaces of the USA.
So the Clippers clamped down in the second half. Westbrook gets a huge defensive rebound and the ball ends up in George's hand for a three-pointer. And those are the reasons I remain amazed by the talent of these professional basketball players. The Clippers win the game, in spite of the fact that they allowed nearly 70 first half points. Draymond Green misses a three at the buzzer to end the game. I was just reading the game play-by-play of the game. Green couldn't find anybody else to get the ball to? Wow! The Clippers can really clamp down on teams when they are half interested in the game.

Comms trying to talk up this "in season tournament" thing is a laugh. No fucks given who "wins" it. In fact at seasons end the "winner", if they dont also win the NBA proper, will be the object of mockery. "Ohhh, you won the IST back in November, you absolute legend......"
NBA needs to think outside the box. Play the IST games outside. On grass courts. No more of these 80 point opening quarters. Final score: 32-26. If it rains, it rains. Bit of mud. Pretty much any dude, given an open look, is a decent proposition to knock down a 3 now. Guess we have to remember that in college or high skool, every single NBA player was The Man and even the dopiest-looking sad git banished to the end of the bench was running up clown car numbers on suckerz. |

GS with 29 turnovers ffs. Most of them seemed to be Curry trying to force some 2kool4skool bullshit play in traffic.
Peahearted Wiggins vanished completely. Again. Compared to the other 9 guys busting their arses to get an open look he barely bothers. Just jogs around a bit then drifts over to hide on the weak side for a breather.

Julius has pretty low Basketball IQ but he's a decent defender and is effective with that one offensive move he has. He isn't really a superstar though so i'd trade him for one in a heartbeat.

Clippers seem to think that they have what it takes to get to the Finals, in which it is possible that Philly would be their opponent. I wouldn't want P.J. Tucker playing for Philly either were I a Clippers executive or player.
